I forgot about watermelons!

Now that summer is here there is ONE good thing. Watermelons. Since I've been known to polish off a whole one in one day, I thouhgt I should maybe learn about them.
The watermelon, originally discovered by Dr. David Livingstone (yes, as in, 'Dr. Livingstone, I presume') during his hikes in the african jungle, is actually not a melon at all. The watermelon is both fruit and vegetable, much like a tomato. The fleshy part inside which is eaten...its highly developed placental tissue. That's right. The watermelon is technically an egg produced by the ovary of the flowering vine known as the citrillus vulgaris (common citrus). Gross.
Tutankahmun was dicovered with many watermelon seeds in his tomb. The watermelon also takes the shape of what it is grown in, so in other countries they often have square watermelons.
