I'm a mess. My grades are coming in bad, I'm behind in swaps for a million reasons. All I have time to do is study and pack to move.
I've decided to take a 5 minute break from studying things I don't care about to look back on some things I've learned that I DO find interesting.

-Multiple Sclerosis was changed to 'MS' at the suggestion of Ivy Ledbetter Lee "Poison Ivy", because no one could say the name. The disease immediately got more funding and recognition.

-Harry Houdini was reclining and having himself sketched by and art student after a show when another student entered his dressing room and asked if it was true that Houdini could take any blow to the stomach. Houdini answered yes, and the young man began to punch him without letting him know what he was about to do. These punches ruptured his kidneys fatally.

- "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama" is a palindrome.

-In the early 19th century, upper crust parents would make their female children sleep with steel-wool gloves to prevent masturbation.
